Data Hygiene & Management

Often lost in translation, data hygiene and management is the process of managing your data in various tools and across a unified stack. We'll talk about these domains, why they matter, and how they fit into a set of stack capabilities.

  • Data hygiene is all about how well you track and manage your user and event data over time.
  • As an organization grows, and you add more events, it is possible to let your data schema get out of control. The solution to this is data management/schema validation, which can be part of a CDP/CDI.
  • If your CDP becomes polluted with bad or too voluminious data, you might suffer from volume & cost related prohibition, and damage reliable tools that others rely on for business purposes.
