Software Development Kits (SDKs)

Love them or hate them, SDKs are a building block for modern marketing toolkits. But a lot of people don't know what they mean or why they exist.

  • An easy way to think about an API is a way to communicate - as a computer - with another tool, company, or service.
  • An SDK is a “wrapper” for an API because APIs can be complicated, so, an SDK often turns the API into something easier to work with for engineers.
  • SDKs and APIs make it easier for engineers to build an entire business faster and more efficiently.
