What is the difference between the Synchronous and Asynchronous courses?

The primary difference the Synchronous and Asynchronous courses is the format of learning.

The content between the two remains the same.

In the Synchronous course, you will be enrolled as a student with the Marketing Technology Academy. Every week, you’ll get a link to attend the Marketing Technology course you signed up for, led by Austin.

During the class, you can ask questions, and you’ll get some special benefits for being a student, including a weekly group discussion, opportunities to connect with your peers, and a MarTech email group that will let you ask questions and continue to learn on your own time.

For independent learners who don’t want the pressure or community given by live learning, we recommend the Asynchronous course. For those who want the education, skills, community and extra benefits, the Synchronous option will be best.

What do I get with my purchase?

At the launch of the program we will only have the practitioner course available. With your purchase you will get full access to all the course materials, videos, decks, and content.

If you choose to participate in the synchronous fall course, you will additionally get to experience your learning live over a series of Zoom lessons which encapsulate all of the content from the course, as well as access to the instructor, 1 on 1 help and support, weekly Zoom Q&A, a private cohort slack channel, and other benefits of being part of the enrolled community.

What happens if I don’t enjoy the course?

If you cancel within the first 3 days of buying either course, we will refund 100% of your purchase. This should give you enough time to check out the content and see if it’s a fit for what you’re trying to achieve.

If you cancel after 3 days we cannot offer any refunds. Special exceptions will be made for synchronous course students who need to drop out of the course for peronsal reasons. If this situation arises, get in touch with your instructor!

Once you've purchased the course, you have a year to complete the materials, after which your membership will expire.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs, cats and other creatures are encouraged to attend with you or for you as part of the Synchronous course.
