MTA001 Martech Practitioner Course
Deeplinking & How it Works
Ever wondered how you get driven to the right place in an app or website? It's because of deeplinking. In this lesson, we'll talk about how it works and why it matters.
Notes & References
A URI (Universal resource indicator) can be thought of like the URL for a website. It is the primary reference, or identifier to open an app.
Deferred deep linking is when a user is taken to a specific location in an app after install and beyond (or around) the install and download process.
The many different ways to open and redirect in apps can be made easier with attribution and there-in deeplinking. These ways make up all the ways a user can be redirected and receive information.
